What it’s good for
It’s for the jobs where the grass stopped being a lawn some time ago. Some people call it a walk-behind slasher — either way, it’s built for:
- Overgrown sections and neglected back corners
- Long grass and brush up to 1.8m tall
- Scrub, blackberry and saplings up to 5cm thick
- Paddock edges and fence lines on lifestyle blocks
- Clearing a section before landscaping, fencing or building
In good conditions it clears roughly 2,600m² an hour — a quarter of a hectare.
Why it handles rough ground
It’s designed to keep moving where a mower would bog down or bounce.
- Hydrostatic drive: you control speed forward and back from the handles — no gear changes.
- Automatic traction control: if one wheel starts spinning in wet or loose ground, it locks so the machine keeps moving.
- Pivoting deck and locking front wheels: the deck tilts 12° each way to follow the bumps, and the front wheels lock to hold steady on a slope.

How do I get it home?
You’ll need a trailer. It weighs 147kg and is 2.07m long and 78cm wide, so it won’t fit in a car. No trailer? Hire one of ours at the same time.
Tips from our team
A few minutes of prep makes the job faster and safer.
- Walk the area first. Look for rocks, stumps, wire, irrigation and anything else hiding in the long grass.
- Start high, then go lower. Set the deck high for the first pass, then drop it for a tidier finish.
- Gear up. Eye and ear protection and sturdy boots, every time.
- Ask for a run-through. We’ll show you how it works when you collect it.
